Andrea A. Amoa, Esq. currently serves as legal council and attorney of Akom Kese Planning Committee. She is presently a staff attorney of the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County, District Court Bureau.

Prior to joining the Legal Aid Society, was in private practice and served on the Family Court 18b and the Attorney for the Child Panels in Suffolk County where she represented respondents and children. During her Family Court tenure, she was co-chair of the Disproportional Minority Representation Committee while working with the Child Welfare Court Improvement Project. She is currently a board member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, the secretary of the Suffolk Academy of Law, a past member of the Judicial Screening Committee, and recently deemed qualified as a Suffolk County District Court Judge.

Andrea attended Fisk University and received her Bachelor of Arts in English. She graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2009, cum laude, and was a senior editor of the T.M.S.L Law Review. Andrea is a member of the Amistad Long Island Black Bar Association and briefly served as the Vice President of Membership. In addition, she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.

She is married to Dr. Kwesi Amoa and is a proud mother of three children. Asha- a 2018, magna cum laude, graduate of CUNY who the family hopes to see on Broadway someday soon; Akosua- currently a LPN student, an athlete, and an honor roll 2018 graduate of Central Islip Senior High School, and Kwesi II- 2018 wrestling league (II) champion and an honor roll student of Central Islip Senior High School.
